Dating from the 1930s, the solid hardwood base houses a central perpetual calendar compartment containing its original, manually swappable date, month, and day cards.
The calendar is flanked on either side by a pair of heavy, square molded-glass inkwells complete with their original color-coded molded Bakelite caps (one oxblood burgundy and one deep ink black). Running along the front is a long, recessed grooved channel crafted perfectly to act as a pen rest for your fountain pens.

 

Condition Report (A/F - As Found): The wooden structure is structurally sound with tight joints and a warm, rich grain patina. The original paper calendar inserts show typical vintage wear along the top edges. Please Note: The left-hand glass inkwell has a prominent fracture/break along its front-right corner which has historic clear tape stabilization. There are notable chips to the wood on the left-hand top section of the stand. Additionally, the perpetual calendar is missing one double-sided date card (No. 7 with No. 8 on the reverse). The right-hand glass inkwell and its black Bakelite lid remain in excellent, undamaged condition. Price heavily adjusted to reflect all flaws.
