Rare 10-Pc Antique Copeland Spode Aesthetic Movement Dessert Service – Registered 1878 Japonisme Multi-Motif Set

A magnificent, highly collectible Victorian porcelain dessert service manufactured by W.T. Copeland & Sons in Staffordshire, England.  Capturing the height of 19th-century Japonisme, this rare 10-piece set includes 1 large master centrepiece cake stand, 1 smaller tiered cake stand and 8 matching dessert plates. 

Authenticity & Provenance: Authenticated with impressed factory "COPELAND" stamps and hand-painted red artisan tally marks on the reverse. Meticulously hand-marked and stamped with factory production dates from March 1878 (C 78) and August 1878 (T 78), this authentic earthenware set captures the late-19th-century obsession with Japonisme—characterized by asymmetrical, nature-inspired compositions, delicate bamboo stalks, perching songbirds, and beautifully rendered fans and scrolls.Excellent Antique Condition: Incredible preservation for a 140+ year-old porous earthenware service.

Free of major chips, structural cracks, or post-factory repairs. Light, age-appropriate clean crazing to the clear overglaze and minor rubbing to the rims as expected with authentic Victorian tableware.
