Vintage Gefle Sweden "Crocus" 5 - Piece Ceramic Egg Cup Set (c. 1950s/60s)

A charming and highly collectible mid-century ceramic egg cup set service manufactured by Gefle Porslinsfabrik in Sweden.  Designed by Ellen Mortensen, this matching set features a four lobed undertray and 4 bucket-style egg cups handpainted in her signature bold "Crocus" floral design.

Authenticity Marks: Stamped with the official factory shape code 5/35 on the base of the tray.

Condition: Beautiful vintage display condition with rich glaze and bright colours.  The undertray features normal glaze crazing and a small shallow chip completely hidden on the bottom edge rim.  One egg cup displays a visible hairline crack from age, making this a lovely decorative display piece.
