A beautifully detailed piece of mid-century French metalwork, this vintage decorative basket features an exquisite faux-wicker weave hand-crafted entirely from heavy silver-plated metal wire. The elegant oval shape is complemented by a structured triple-reed overhead fixed handle.

These woven wire baskets were originally used in elite Parisian households and cafes as sophisticated dining tabletop accents—most notably serving as a wine bottle cradling cradle, a bread/pastry server, or a vanity trinket dish for fine jewellery.
