Antique 1920s Art Deco Reticulated Porcelain Wall Plaque – Orchard Fruit & Sponged Gold Rim

This antique reticulated porcelain cabinet plate dates to the 1920s–1930s Art Deco era. The center features a vibrant Orchard Fruit transfer design showcasing highly detailed bosc pears, sweet cherries, and dark plums nestled among green leaves.

The standout feature is the intricately pierced, open-work lattice border (reticulated edge) that gives the dish a beautiful lace-like quality, finished with detailed scalloped outer edges and sponged gold leaf gilding. This specific piece was intentionally designed for wall display, featuring an integrated, factory-molded porcelain hanging bridge on the reverse side.

The bottom is stamped with the single word "FOREIGN"—a fascinating historical mark used by continental European potteries (primarily German or Bohemian) exporting to the United Kingdom under the Merchandise Marks Act guidelines. 

Condition: Good antique condition. Free of cracks, chips, or structural repairs to the delicate pierced lattice frame. The central transfer graphic is clear. Light, expected rubbing/fading is present along sections of the sponged gold rim from age and historical handling.
